PlayStation Store Halloween and Special Sale runs until November 4

PlayStation Store’s Japanese Halloween and Special Sale discounts games by up to 85% until November 4.

PlayStation Store’s Halloween Sale and Special Sale are now running in Japan, with discounts available until November 4 at 11:59 p.m. JST. The promotions cut selected digital games by as much as 85%, while a separate “great-value games” section keeps some titles below ¥1,500.1

The Halloween line-up includes Resident Evil Requiem at ¥6,293, a 30% discount, alongside RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army at ¥3,946 and Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE at ¥4,147. Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Plus is listed at ¥1,980, reduced by 40%.1

Persona and wider catalogue discounts

The separate Special Sale includes Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden at ¥990 each, while Persona 5 Royal is reduced to ¥2,303, a 70% discount. The sale also includes PRAGMATA and Maneater, among other games.1

The discounts are especially notable for players building a horror-themed library, but the catalogue is broader than the Halloween label suggests. Resident Evil Requiem is the lead title highlighted by Famitsu, while the official PlayStation listing confirms the game’s Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy artwork used here.12

The same Famitsu report notes that Persona 4 Revival, the full remake of Persona 4 Golden, is scheduled for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Steam on February 18, 2027, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version due on May 20. That future release is mentioned alongside the sale but is not itself discounted content.1

Prices and availability can vary by account region, and the promotion’s Japanese deadline is November 4 at 11:59 p.m. JST. Check the relevant local PlayStation Store before buying.

Our opinion

A Halloween sale works best when it offers more than a handful of obvious horror games, and this one has a decent spread: new survival horror, remasters, a detective adventure and several Persona releases. The strongest prices are arguably in the Special Sale, where Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden become easy recommendations for anyone catching up. Just remember that a Japanese store promotion does not automatically apply to other regions, so the discount list needs checking rather than assuming.

The sale also underlines the odd timing of digital storefronts: Resident Evil Requiem is already being used as a headline discount while Capcom’s next Persona 4 project is still months away. For players who want something to play now, the current catalogue is the useful part; the remake announcement is background rather than a reason to wait.
