Disney Dreamlight Valley’s The Keepsake Sea launches November 18
The Keepsake Sea arrives on November 18 with underwater biomes, swimming, an Enchanted Pirate Ship and new Disney characters.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s The Keepsake Sea expansion will launch on November 18, 2026, bringing an underwater adventure, new characters and new editions to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. Gameloft announced the date during its 2026 showcase, according to Nintendo Everything’s report.1
What is coming in The Keepsake Sea
The expansion adds a new storyline with five Villagers: Captain Hook and Wendy from Peter Pan, Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Megara from Hercules. The showcase also introduced three new island biomes, each with underwater areas, alongside a merfolk form that lets players swim and customise their avatar.1
Players will also be able to sail an Enchanted Pirate Ship as they progress through the story. Dory from Finding Nemo will serve as the game’s first Adventure Companion, helping players find items beneath the water and offering rewards. Early adopters can earn a Villainous Fin for the merfolk avatar and a Sea Witch Boat through Twitch Drops.1

A separate Ohana Holidays update is planned for December 9, bringing Lilo and Stitch back together with seasonal content, a new storyline and Friendship Quests. The full official showcase is embedded below.2
Our opinion
The Keepsake Sea looks like a substantial expansion rather than a small character drop: swimming, underwater biomes and a customisable ship give the update a clear new way to explore the valley. The November 18 launch date also gives players a straightforward choice between buying the expansion separately or taking one of the new editions. The final value will depend on how much of the underwater content is available outside the headline additions, but this is a meaningful next step for Disney Dreamlight Valley rather than a routine seasonal refresh.12
