Disney Dreamlight Valley Halloween event adds Trick or Treat rewards
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Halloween event adds daily Trick or Treat visits, four Halloween Town recipes and a returning Haunted Well activity.
Halloween has returned to Disney Dreamlight Valley, with the seasonal event running from October 14 to October 31 and adding a new Trick or Treat activity, fresh Halloween Town crafting recipes and the return of the Haunted Well.1
The event’s basic loop is straightforward. From October 14 to 30, two red, purple and green Candy Bowls appear in the Plaza every 24 hours. On October 31, the bowls refresh every hour instead. Each bowl gives two sweets in its matching colour, although the Valley can hold a maximum of five bowls of each colour at once.1
The more interesting addition is the new Trick or Treat interaction. Each day, players can look for a lit Jack-o’-Lantern outside the homes of Mickey Mouse, WALL-E, Daisy, Stitch, Mike Wazowski and Jack Skellington. Interacting with one starts a special visit and awards five Green Candy, five Red Candy and five Purple Candy. The lanterns return after the daily reset, so this is a daily activity rather than a one-off collectible hunt.1
Those interactions progress the new Sweet n’ Scary achievement. Its four milestones unlock Halloween Town Fence, Halloween Town Gravestone, Halloween Town Graveyard Statue and Halloween Town Mausoleum recipes at one, five, 10 and 20 interactions respectively. The official event page also confirms the return of the Haunted Well activity for players who have unlocked the Forest of Valor.1
Our opinion
This is a tidy seasonal update rather than a huge expansion, but the daily character visits give Halloween a more social shape than simply picking up items from the ground. The four Halloween Town recipes should also make the event feel worthwhile for players who enjoy decorating their Valley, while the hourly Candy Bowls on October 31 offer a useful final push for anyone short on ingredients.
The event is live now and ends on October 31. Players should save some sweets for the crafting milestones rather than eating or gifting everything immediately.1
