Persona 4 Revival shows off its Shadow trailer
Atlus has released a new Shadow trailer for Persona 4 Revival, mixing fresh music and gameplay ahead of the remake's 18 February 2027 launch.

Atlus has released a new Shadow trailer for Persona 4 Revival, giving its remake of the 2008 role-playing game another look at the moodier side of its mystery ahead of an 18 February 2027 launch.
The trailer arrived in both English and Japanese, setting new music against fresh gameplay footage. It continues a run of character and sizzle trailers for the protagonist, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, Teddie and Naoto.
The remake returns to the rural town of Inaba, where a group of students investigates a string of disappearances tied to the Midnight Channel, a broadcast that appears on televisions during rainy nights.
Persona 4 Revival launches on 18 February 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Xbox PC app. A Nintendo Switch 2 version follows on 20 May 2027.
Atlus is developing the remake, with SEGA publishing. It follows Persona 3 Reload, the studio's 2024 modernisation of Persona 3, which itself later reached the Switch 2.
Why you should care: Persona 4 is the entry that turned a niche dungeon-crawler series into a mainstream name, and its small-town mystery has aged better than its presentation. The Shadow trailer is the clearest signal yet of how far Atlus is willing to push the remake's darker, psychological tone.
Our opinion
Another trailer rather than a date change, but a useful one: the Shadow footage is the first material that leans into the fear and unease that make Inaba's story land. The risk for a remake this fondly remembered is over-styling, so it is encouraging that the marketing is selling atmosphere rather than novelties.
