Otomate Announces Hakuōki Switch 2 Compilation and More

Otomate is lining up a very busy anniversary year, announcing Hakuōki Shinkai Kiwame for Nintendo Switch 2 during its Otomate Party 2026 event. The compilation is being positioned as part of the brand’s 20th-anniversary celebrations in 2027.

According to Anime News Network’s report on the event, Otomate describes Hakuōki Shinkai Kiwame as a compilation of the Hakuōki otome-game franchise. No release date or pricing was announced in the report, so there is no sensible reason to pretend either detail is settled.

Four more otome games join the party

Otomate also revealed four other projects. Velvet Candy Tint Kiss is a fantasy romance set in modern Japan and is planned for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite. The announcement named Maika Mido as character designer, Noriko Hiro as director and Jo Ninomae as assistant director and scenario supervisor.

The 2012 game GENROH is joining Otomate’s Graffiti collection as its 14th title, with a 2027 release planned for Switch and Switch Lite. Kimi wa Yuki ma ni Koinegau -Koi Musubi- is a fan disc for Kimi wa Yuki ma ni Koinegau, while Shinsō no Dopperuto is a post-war Japan mystery set in a mansion where its cast competes for the affection of a young woman. Both are also planned for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.

The official event videos provide the useful bit that a dry list of titles cannot: these are announcements, not a launch timetable. The videos show the projects and their promotional material, but they do not magically turn missing dates and prices into facts.

Our opinion

Hakuōki is the obvious headliner here, and a Switch 2 compilation is a neat way to put a long-running otome property in front of a new audience. Still, this is an announcement to watch rather than a preorder recommendation. Until Otomate confirms what is included, when it launches and whether the compilation adds meaningful improvements, the sensible move is to keep your wallet in its pocket and enjoy the trailers.
