The feature-phone-era fantasy RPG returns through G-MODE Archives+, launching on Switch on 15 October before reaching Steam on 28 October.
Lost Savior returns this week as part of G-MODE Archives+, bringing the feature-phone-era fantasy RPG to Nintendo Switch on 15 October before its Steam release on 28 October. The game costs ¥800 in Japan and supports Japanese only. 12
A long-form RPG from the feature-phone era
G-MODE describes Lost Savior as a fantasy RPG originally released by Bandai Namco Entertainment for feature phones. Its story follows a protagonist trying to save a world approaching destruction while investigating the secrets of their birth. The official game page says the adventure spans 25 countries and regions, alongside demon, spirit and divine realms. 1
The RPG promises more than 60 hours of play, over 1,000 items and more than 200 monsters. Players can choose between 19 jobs, inherit skills when changing jobs, and combine materials into roughly 300 kinds of items. Battles support up to three participants, while towns can be developed through guild requests. 12
Switch first, Steam later
The Nintendo Switch version launches on 15 October, with the Steam edition following on 28 October. Both versions are listed at ¥800, with a single-player format and an IARC 12+ rating. 1
The Steam listing is already linked from G-MODE’s official page, giving PC players a direct route to the later release rather than an unconfirmed store rumour. 1
Our opinion
Lost Savior is exactly the sort of odd little RPG revival that benefits from a modern re-release: its feature-phone origins give it a distinct identity, while the job system, crafting and multi-region adventure sound substantial enough to justify a second look. The split launch is also refreshingly clear — Switch players get first dibs, while Steam fans have a short wait rather than a vague “coming soon”.
