Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket platform has announced that saku, the artist behind Yome ga Kuru! (My Wife is Coming!), will launch a new manga titled Kimi to Sakura no Hanataba wo (A Bouquet of Cherry Blossoms and You) on November 1. 12

A new series for Magazine Pocket

The announcement was posted by the official Magazine Pocket account, with the new series set to debut on the platform rather than in a print magazine. The promotional artwork presents a pink, spring-themed title card and labels the work as an original new serial. 12

The Japanese title is 君と桜の花束を, while the official Latin rendering on the announcement artwork reads Kimi to Sakura no Hanataba wo. The series follows saku’s previous work on Yome ga Kuru!, which launched with writer Yasunori Mitsunaga in Shueisha’s Grand Jump Mucha magazine in April 2025. 2

saku has also drawn Betsusekai no Kirakira Dōki ga Ecchi na Illust o Kaiteiru, Senpai! Waza to Janain Desu!, Kimi ni Koisuru San Shimai and Boku o Shiritasugiru Shimizu-san. The new manga therefore arrives with a recognisable creator behind it, although the announcement does not yet provide a synopsis, chapter schedule or details of a possible collected edition. 2

What we know about the launch

The first chapter is scheduled for November 1 on Magazine Pocket. Kodansha’s announcement does not give a broader release plan, and there is no confirmed English publisher or international launch information in the available source material. Readers outside Japan should not assume that a licensed translation will arrive at the same time. 12

Our opinion

A new serial from a creator with a recent manga credit is a modest but worthwhile announcement, especially for readers who follow digital manga platforms rather than waiting for print volumes. The artwork sells a soft romantic tone, but the launch notice keeps the story deliberately vague. The first chapter will need to do the heavy lifting: until Kodansha shares a synopsis or sample pages, the appeal here is the creator and the clean launch date rather than a premise we can meaningfully assess.
