Dragon’s Dogma 2 gets a wide-ranging Switch 2 patch
Capcom’s latest Switch 2 patch fixes pawns, vocations, quests, controls and handheld issues in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen has received Title Update 4.1 on Nintendo Switch 2, with Capcom targeting problems affecting vocations, pawns, enemies, quests, the user interface and handheld play. The patch is dated 27 October 2026 and is already live. This is a broad clean-up rather than a new content drop. Warrior players should see a fix for Goring Lunge, which could ignore a cancellation input and trigger a follow-up attack instead. Magick Archers get a correction for a lock-on problem, while Mystic Spearhands receive a fix for the Mirour Vesture effect failing to trigger between the Arisen and Sigurd.
Capcom has also adjusted several pawn behaviours. Pawns should be less likely to fall from cliffs, become stuck standing still instead of exploring, or remain armed after a battle. Other fixes address pawns being launched into the air during fights, eyes pointing in unnatural directions and unhired pawns or NPCs repeatedly moving back and forth. Skeleton eyes should now glow correctly, and players should be able to break free after being grabbed by a chimera. The user-interface section covers control-setting problems involving Dash 2, Reset Camera, Weapon Skill 5 and Weapon Skill 6. Quest and tutorial fixes address Back to the Temple failing incorrectly, progression mechanics not appearing, tutorial text disappearing after storage exceeded 2,500 items and restart instructions failing to display. Capcom also addresses longer loading times and occasional freezes when waking the game from sleep mode in handheld play.
Our opinion
Title Update 4.1 is the sort of maintenance patch that matters after a port or expansion has settled into players’ routines. It does not add a headline feature, but the list reaches into the places that can quietly sour an adventure: unreliable companions, broken quest progression, controls that refuse to stay put and freezes during portable play. The pawn and quest fixes look most meaningful for ordinary play, while the storage, UI and handheld corrections should remove several smaller irritations. If you are playing Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on Switch 2, this is a sensible update to install before starting another long journey.
