Razer has released the Barracuda V2 Pro, a wireless gaming headset designed to move between a desk, console and everyday listening. The official product page lists a US$199.99 price and combines active noise cancellation, dual wireless connections and a detachable microphone in one foldable design.1

The headset uses Razer HyperSpeed Wireless alongside Bluetooth 6.0, allowing players to keep game audio running while taking calls or listening to music from a second device. Razer also says the headset supports 7.1.4 surround sound through Synapse on 64-bit Windows 11, while the official specifications list up to 70 hours of battery life with ANC disabled and up to 50 hours with ANC enabled.1

The design weighs 285g and stores its wireless dongle inside the folded headset. Its dual-mode microphone setup pairs a detachable HyperClear Full Band Mic for desk use with built-in beamforming microphones for calls away from a gaming setup. The product page also highlights memory-foam cushions and a SmartSwitch control for moving between connection modes.1

The release follows reporting that the Barracuda V2 Pro is available through local and online retailers for US$199.99. Orders placed through Razer’s store were shown with an estimated October 20–22 delivery window at the time of the report.2 Availability and delivery dates can vary by region, so buyers should check the local Razer store rather than assume the US listing applies everywhere.

Our opinion

Razer is pitching the Barracuda V2 Pro as a headset for people who refuse to keep separate audio gear for gaming, calls and travel. The simultaneous wireless modes are the most useful part of that pitch: they address a real nuisance without turning the story into a review. The headline feature list is broad, but the practical questions are regional price, comfort over long sessions and how well the 285g frame balances with the larger battery. Those are questions for testing, not claims this launch announcement can settle.
