Project Sekai opens Honami Mochizuki's 2026 birthday event

Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku is celebrating Honami Mochizuki with a limited-time birthday event, a themed party in MYSEKAI, a special live show and two birthday gachas.

Sega and Colorful Palette say the HAPPY BIRTHDAY Honami Mochizuki 2026 campaign is live now. Players can collect Festivity Dewdrops in MYSEKAI, exchange them at the Garden of Festivity for Celebration Flowers, and use those flowers to build birthday furniture. Once the Birthday Cake is placed, players can start a themed party with a special cutscene and decorate their venue for the Best of MYSEKAI contest.

What is included

The official English campaign runs Honami's Birthday Party from 27 October to 29 October in Pacific Time, with the related show running on 27 October. Joining the Birthday Show rewards players with a Character Wish Vial and Character Wish Pieces. The event also adds temporary gathering opportunities and a progression track that awards a title, Wish Pieces and Mission Gacha Tickets as players collect more Celebration Flowers.

The Birthday Gacha runs from 23 October to 29 October. It includes a new birthday-themed Honami card, while previous Honami birthday cards return for players who missed them. The official page lists the new card's level-four skill as recovering 850 life and increasing the score by 80% for five seconds, provided the player hits PERFECTs.

The Japanese announcement from Sega and Colorful Palette gives the same campaign a slightly different local schedule. It says the birthday party can be held from 27 October to 29 October, with a virtual HAPPY BIRTHDAY live held hourly for 24 performances on Honami's birthday. It also details a limited-time item, Celebration Dewdrops (Poppy Red) '26, plus birthday furniture, titles and rewards earned through the in-game Celebration Tree.

Honami Mochizuki (望月穂波) is a member of Leo/need, voiced by Reina Ueda. The birthday campaign is therefore a game event rather than a new story chapter: its appeal is the short window for collecting exclusive rewards, building the party venue and obtaining the new card before the event closes.

Our opinion

This is a nicely focused birthday event because it gives players more to do than simply pull a limited card. The MYSEKAI furniture loop and venue cutscene make the celebration feel participatory, while the return of older cards gives longtime players a reason to check the banner even if they already own Honami's newest one. The short schedule means anyone chasing the event title or furniture should start early rather than leave the gathering and crafting grind until the final day.
