BLEACH Mirrors High is lining up a sizeable launch roster ahead of its planned release for Android and iOS before the end of 2026. Bandai Namco’s official character lineup lists 13 returning characters from the BLEACH anime and manga, alongside five original game characters created for the mobile title. 1

The announced roster includes Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Renji Abarai, Byakuya Kuchiki, Yoruichi Shihoin, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Rangiku Matsumoto, Orihime Inoue, Uryu Ishida, Yasutora Sado, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Bambietta Basterbine and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez. Each arrives with a named combat identity, from Ichigo’s Substitute Soul Reaper abilities to Grimmjow’s Espada Number 6 attacks. 1

The original characters are Shirin Migishima, Shirane Sanari, Naru Jurinna, Giro Hando and Maiko Tokishima. They are selectable protagonists or Soul Reaper trainees in the game’s original story, giving the launch roster a route into the new scenario rather than making it a straight recreation of familiar anime battles. 1

What the game is doing differently

Bandai Namco describes BLEACH Mirrors High as an action game built around teams of three and strategic Action Card choices. Players can chain attacks, trigger character-specific Mortal Blows and combine their team’s abilities through Soul Drive attacks. The official site places the story after the Thousand-Year Blood War and lets players customise their own Soul Reaper avatar. 2

That post-war setting matters because the game is not simply retelling Ichigo’s existing adventures. Its original characters and customisable protagonist are designed to sit alongside the established cast, while the launch lineup gives players enough familiar faces to build teams around from day one.

Bandai Namco has not announced a final release date beyond the end-of-2026 window. The official site currently lists App Store and Google Play as the platforms, with the game free to download and in-game purchases, including loot boxes. 2

Our opinion

A 13-character anime roster would already give BLEACH Mirrors High a recognisable launch hook, but the five original characters are the more interesting choice. They give the game an excuse to tell a new story instead of asking players to replay the same central conflict yet again. The real test will be whether the card-based combat gives those characters meaningful roles, rather than turning the roster into a catalogue of familiar names and flashy finishers.

The launch window is still broad, and the free-to-play structure means the roster will only be part of the equation. Bandai Namco has at least made the premise clear: this is a new BLEACH adventure with a customisable entry point, not merely a collection of old scenes in mobile form.
