Pokemon reveals Mew and Mewtwo 30th Celebration figure collections
The Pokémon TCG’s 30th Celebration Figure Collection brings Mew and Mewtwo to collectors as two separate figure, card and booster-pack releases.
The Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Figure Collection will launch on November 6, giving collectors two new ways to mark the franchise’s anniversary: one box centred on Mew and another built around Mewtwo. Each collection pairs an official figure with matching promotional cards and five booster packs from the special 30th Celebration expansion.
The product announcement comes from Pokémon’s official product gallery, rather than a retailer listing or a fan leak. Pokémon says each box includes one foil promo card, one oversized foil card, one figure and five booster packs. The Mew and Mewtwo versions are separate products, so collectors wanting both designs will need to pick up both boxes.
What is in the Mew and Mewtwo collections
The official product image shows the two boxed collections side by side. The Mew box uses a bright, floral presentation, while the Mewtwo version takes a darker route with crystalline details. Pokémon credits the Mew figure to sculptor Taro Murai and Kaiyodo Co. Ltd., and the Mewtwo figure to sculptor Daichi F Sugimoto and Kaiyodo.
Pokémon has not presented these as ordinary booster products. The figures and oversized cards are the headline additions, with five packs providing the more familiar opening experience. The official listing says the collections will be available through the Pokémon Center and other Pokémon TCG stockists from November 6, 2026.
Why this release matters
The products add a physical collector angle to the wider 30th Celebration programme. Mew and Mewtwo are two of the franchise’s most recognisable Pokémon, and using them as the paired figures gives the release a clear split between the series’ more playful and more imposing sides. It also makes the launch easier to understand than a larger set built around dozens of characters: one box is the daytime, colourful option, and the other is the night-time, dramatic one.
The timing is worth noting too. The official launch date is still in the future, so this is a product announcement rather than a report of stock already reaching shops. Pokémon says the collection will be sold wherever Pokémon TCG products are available, but local availability and retailer pricing may vary.
Our opinion
This is a smart anniversary product because it gives collectors a choice without making the two versions feel interchangeable. Mew and Mewtwo are recognisable enough to carry their own boxes, and the contrasting presentation gives each one a distinct identity. The five booster packs are useful, but the figures and oversized cards are what make the collection stand out from a standard expansion bundle. If you only want one, the choice is mostly about whether you prefer Mew’s brighter display or Mewtwo’s darker design; there is no need to treat the pair as a single mandatory purchase.
