WWE 2K26 reveals Royce Keys as new DLC character

WWE 2K26 is adding Royce Keys to its roster in the game’s final Ringside Pass Season 6 update, with the DLC character scheduled to arrive on October 28. The reveal gives players an early look at Keys’ in-game entrance and marks his first appearance in the WWE 2K series. ¹

What is changing

The official WWE Games account teased Royce Keys’ arrival with the line “New key. New era. Royce Keys,” accompanying a short preview of the character’s entrance. ² The footage shows Keys walking towards the ring and stepping through the ropes while “Take Everything” plays as his entrance theme. ¹

Keys is joining a Season 6 roster that has already expanded the annual wrestling game with additional downloadable wrestlers. Game Rant reports that his pack will arrive with the Ringside Pass Season 6 release on October 28, putting the new character among the final planned additions to the pass. ¹

Royce Keys signed with WWE in January 2026 and made his WWE debut at that year’s Royal Rumble, according to the report. His WWE 2K26 inclusion therefore turns a relatively recent arrival into a playable character only months after entering the company’s active roster. ¹

The DLC announcement is a small update rather than a new game mode or a change to WWE 2K26’s core systems. Its appeal is straightforward: fans following Keys’ move to WWE will be able to use him in the game, while existing players get another roster addition to try when Season 6 launches. The announcement also provides a clear date rather than leaving the character’s release window vague.

What to watch

The important detail is whether October 28 remains the firm release date for the Ringside Pass Season 6 update. 2K’s downloadable content schedules can be staged across multiple packs, so players should check the official WWE Games channels and the in-game store when the update goes live before assuming the character is available in every edition.

Our opinion

This is the kind of modest roster reveal that works because it is specific: WWE 2K26 players know who is coming and when to expect him. Royce Keys’ recent WWE arrival gives the addition a timely hook, although the announcement is ultimately aimed at fans who already follow the game’s DLC roadmap rather than players waiting for a major systems update.

For the latest confirmation, the official WWE Games announcement is the source to watch, while the Steam listing provides the appropriate official game artwork for this report. ²
