Persona 4 Revival demo events begin across Japan in November
ATLUS will bring Persona 4 Revival to six Japanese shops for hands-on events, with a franchise quiz and character appearances planned.
ATLUS is taking Persona 4 Revival on the road in Japan, with hands-on events planned at six electronics stores from November 14 to December 13. Visitors will be able to try the remake before its February 17, 2027 launch, while selected dates will also feature a Kuma/ Teddie character appearance.12
Where the demo events are happening
The events will run across five cities and six venues, with the announcement naming Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera locations. The Tokyo Game Show 2026 demo forms the basis for the hands-on experience, and attendees will need a numbered ticket to play.1
ATLUS says visitors can choose between two demo modes. The story-focused option covers the opening portion of the adventure, including an exploration of the strange shopping district. The dungeon-focused option sends players into Yukiko's Castle, where they can explore and battle Shadows and a boss.1
The schedule begins on November 14 and runs until December 13. The two special character appearances are set for November 21 at Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba and November 29 at Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Umeda, although the announcement warns that Kuma's appearance time will be random.1
Persona's 30th anniversary gets a quiz
The demo tour is paired with a broader 30th-anniversary event for the franchise. From noon on October 31, fans will be able to take the Persona Examination, an online quiz built around questions from across the series.1 That makes the promotion more than a straightforward pre-release trial: ATLUS is using the anniversary to turn the remake into a wider celebration of Persona history.
The remake itself is being positioned as a full modernisation of Persona 4 Golden. SEGA describes refreshed visuals, user interface elements, battles and events, while the Steam listing says the game will retain Inaba's supernatural murder mystery, turn-based combat and relationship-driven school-life structure.23
Persona 4 Revival is currently listed as a coming-soon release on Steam, with a February 17, 2027 date. Its store page also confirms ATLUS as developer and SEGA as publisher, alongside standard, Deluxe and Premium editions.3
Our opinion
The touring demo is a useful next step for a remake that already has plenty of attention from existing Persona fans. It gives curious players a chance to see how far ATLUS has pushed the visual and interface overhaul, while the two demo routes offer a sensible split between story and combat. The anniversary quiz and Kuma appearances are unapologetically fan-servicey, but they also give the campaign a bit of personality rather than treating the remake as a bare re-release. The new events add a hands-on angle to the existing Persona 4 Revival coverage: this is about where and how people can try the game, not another breakdown of its characters or setting.
