Persona 30th exhibition reveals its second original character visual
PERSONA 30th EX. has revealed another original character visual ahead of its January 2027 run at Tokyo's Ueno Royal Museum.
The Persona series is marking its 30th anniversary with PERSONA 30th EX., a major exhibition scheduled for 21 January to 7 February 2027 at the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo. The exhibition's official announcement says it will look back across the series, with a key visual drawn by character designer Shigenori Soejima and new illustrations created for the event.
The exhibition's official X account is releasing eight character visuals in sequence, one from each of the series' numbered entries. The latest reveal highlighted the protagonist associated with Persona 2: Innocent Sin, following the first visual for the protagonist of Revelations: Persona. The announcement does not frame these as new game announcements; they are exhibition artwork prepared for the anniversary event.
KADOKAWA's event information confirms the venue and dates, with opening hours listed as 10am to 5pm from Monday to Thursday and 10am to 7pm from Friday to Sunday. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday dates, as well as the opening days on 21 and 22 January, will use timed entry. Ticket details are expected in November, according to the organiser's announcement.
The exhibition's eight-character rollout gives the anniversary event a steady stream of official artwork before the doors open. It also gives fans a useful preview of the exhibition's scope: the campaign is drawing from the series' history rather than focusing on one modern entry. The official material names Atlus as a co-operating partner and credits the event committee as organiser.
Our opinion
This is a smart way to build an anniversary exhibition without pretending that a celebratory visual reveal is the same thing as a new game announcement. The staggered character artwork should keep the event visible to fans over the weeks ahead, while the confirmed Tokyo dates give visitors a concrete planning window. The next meaningful update will be the ticket information promised for November, rather than another round of speculation about what the exhibition might contain.
