Persona 3 Reload's Mitsuru joins Persona 5: The Phantom X

Persona 5: The Phantom X is adding more Persona 3 Reload characters to its crossover roster, with Mitsuru Kirijo now available and Fuuka Yamagishi planned for a later release. The additions continue Atlus and Sega's steady expansion of the free-to-play RPG's Persona 3 content. ¹

Mitsuru arrives first

Mitsuru is the latest Persona 3 Reload character to reach the later Persona 5: The Phantom X servers. RPG Site reports that the Southeast Asian server added her after an eight-day schedule delay, while Fuuka is due to appear at a later date. ¹

The official P5X news page describes Mitsuru as a five-star Ice Assassin. Her kit focuses on lowering enemies' defence, increasing the damage they take and dealing heavier damage to debuffed targets. Under certain conditions, she can also deal extra damage based on an ally's stats and affinities, while reducing the Elucidator's initial support-skill cooldown. ²

Mitsuru's exclusive five-star weapon is Longinus, with Rose Flamberge also listed as a Mitsuru-exclusive weapon in the same contract. The official event window runs from the end of maintenance on 15 October until 1:59am UTC on 12 November 2026, although the in-game contract screen remains the final authority for availability and probabilities. ²

Fuuka is coming later

Fuuka Yamagishi will join as a recruitable navigator character for the non-combatant Elucidator slot through a time-limited gacha banner, according to RPG Site's report. That makes her role different from Mitsuru's combat-focused Ice Assassin kit, although both characters are part of the wider Persona 3 Reload crossover. ¹

The crossover is also tied to the official Met by Moonlight: Ice-Cold Empress event. P5X's announcement says the event brings Makoto Yuki, Mitsuru and other Persona 3 Reload characters into an original storyline, alongside Tartarus exploration, limited missions, a boss challenge and a login bonus. ³ The event is scheduled to run until 1:59am UTC on 29 October 2026, with some content continuing afterwards as a regular event.

Our opinion

This is a sensible way for P5X to keep its crossover momentum going: Mitsuru adds a recognisable Persona 3 Reload face immediately, while Fuuka gives the game another reason for players to watch the future banner schedule. The important distinction is timing. Mitsuru is the available addition covered by the official event notice; Fuuka is a later recruit, so players should not read the announcement as confirmation that both characters can be obtained today.

For existing players, the practical draw is the combination of a new limited character, a Persona 3-themed event story and extra Tartarus rewards. For everyone else, this is another example of P5X using the wider Persona catalogue to build its live-service calendar rather than treating the crossover as a one-off promotion. ²³
