Nintendo's Screaming Deals promotion cuts selected Switch 2 and Switch digital games by up to 50% through October 31.

Nintendo's Screaming Deals Halloween sale banner advertising up to 50% off select digital games for Switch and Switch 2

Nintendo has launched its Halloween 2026 “Screaming Deals” promotion, cutting the price of selected digital games and downloadable content on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. The sale runs through October 31 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, according to Nintendo’s official announcement.1

The promotion covers a sizeable mix of first- and third-party games, with the discounts available through Nintendo eShop and Nintendo’s online sales pages. Nintendo says shoppers can save up to 50% on selected digital games, although the exact reduction varies by title and edition.1

Among the Switch 2 offers listed for the promotion are Civilization 7 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition at $34.99, down from $69.99, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at $55.99, down from $69.99, and Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection at $24.99, down from $49.99. The selection also includes Persona 3 Reload Digital Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition.2

Switch owners have their own list of reductions, including Inscryption at $4.99, down from $19.99, Doom Eternal at $9.89, down from $29.99, Persona 5 Royal at $17.99, down from $59.99, and The Thing: Remastered at $14.99, down from $29.99. Several games appear in both platform sections, but their prices can differ between the Switch and Switch 2 editions.2

Nintendo is also promoting Halloween-themed collections and seasonal in-game events separately from the sale. Its wider Halloween guide highlights categories including creepy cosy games, paranormal adventures and survival titles, alongside October events in games such as Disney Dreamlight Valley and Fortnite.3

The US pricing and the promotion’s Pacific Time deadline mean UK shoppers should check their regional Nintendo eShop before buying. Nintendo’s official page confirms the sale’s end time, while the published deal list provides the individual prices and previous prices reported above.12

Our opinion

Nintendo’s Halloween sale is most useful for players willing to browse rather than hunt for one specific new release. The strongest-looking reductions are on older or established games, while the Switch 2 list mixes new editions with upgraded versions of familiar titles. That makes the promotion broad rather than uniformly exceptional: check the edition, platform and regional price before paying, especially where a game appears in both lists.

The deadline is clear, though. Anyone interested should check the eShop before October 31 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, because Nintendo says the discounts are temporary and selected DLC requires the relevant full game.1
