Nintendo adds three Game Boy Advance classics to Switch Online
Nintendo has added Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance and Kururin Paradise to the Game Boy Advance Classics library.
Nintendo has added three more Game Boy Advance games to the Nintendo Classics app: Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance and Kururin Paradise. Nintendo announced the additions, according to Gematsu.1
The Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics app is available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. Nintendo’s official library page describes the service as a growing collection of Game Boy Advance games on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.2
The new additions
The update brings three very different GBA games to the subscription library. Monster Rancher Advance is a creature-raising RPG, Metal Slug Advance is a run-and-gun spin-off, and Kururin Paradise is a colourful puzzle game built around guiding a constantly spinning vehicle through tight courses.
Gematsu’s report also links to a Nintendo announcement and notes that the service includes a trailer for its October 2026 update.1
Our opinion
This is a tidy, varied addition rather than a single headline-grabber: a monster-raising RPG, an arcade shooter and a puzzle game give the update three distinct flavours. Kururin Paradise is the especially intriguing pick for anyone who missed it during the GBA era, while Metal Slug Advance adds a more immediate arcade hit. The trio makes the Classics library feel usefully broader, not merely larger.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can access the games through the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Classics app.
