FreeStyle Football 2 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC on 3 December, with pre-orders now open across Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate editions.1

Release date and platforms

JOYCITY and WOORE’s online football game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The Steam listing confirms the 3 December 2026 release date and currently marks the game as coming soon.2

The game is built around five-versus-five matches in which each player controls one character. Its pitch combines football with character abilities, passing decisions, cooperative defending and tactical skill chains, according to the overview distributed with the announcement.1

Three editions and pre-order bonuses

The Standard Edition costs $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99, while the Deluxe Edition costs $39.99 / £32.99 / €39.99. The $69.99 / £57.99 / €69.99 Ultimate Edition adds a larger bundle of cosmetic items, in-game currency and premium-season content.1

All three editions include the game and the ZEPHYR and HORIZON pre-order sets. Deluxe adds early access, the FEROX Wrestling Set, a Character Instant Recruit Ticket bundle, a Deluxe License, Prism and Reyal. Ultimate includes those Deluxe bonuses alongside the Death Game Set, eight Character Holograms, an Ultimate License, more Prism and Reyal, a Premium Pass Ticket and lifetime access to premium outfits listed for the edition.1

The Steam listing describes FreeStyle Football 2 as an online multiplayer game with distinct roles, team formations and character-driven skills. It also lists full controller support and a 64-bit Windows PC requirement.2

A football game with a broader structure

Beyond its competitive matches, the announcement describes a chapter-based Story Mode expected to run for 10–20 hours, alongside Competitive Leagues and Club Tournaments. Character customisation, outfits and animations are part of the wider progression loop rather than a separate presentation layer.1

Our opinion

The useful news here is the firm date, not another vague reveal window. FreeStyle Football 2 has a clear audience hook — five-a-side football with hero-style abilities — but the pre-order structure puts a lot of its identity behind cosmetic bundles and premium progression. The 3 December launch will show whether the teamwork and tactical skill system gives the game enough depth to stand apart from a flashy arcade pitch.

For now, the Steam page’s coming-soon status means it is more accurate to say the game launches on 3 December than to call it available today.2
