Kaiju No. 8 Game Celebrates Narumi Anime Short

Kaiju No. 8: THE GAME is celebrating the premiere of the second Narumi’s Week at Work anime short with a login bonus campaign.

Final Weapon reports that Akatsuki Games, TOHO and Production I.G are also adding the five-star [Unorthodox Pursuit] Suited character and the new five-star HM-Spolcyc weapon in the latest update.

What’s actually going on

Players can log in to claim Gacha Tickets, Dimensional Crystals and Stamina Jellies through 26 September 2026 at 3:59am JST. Completing six daily logins unlocks the full set of rewards.

The campaign accompanies Narumi’s Week at Work – Day 2: The Vice-Captain’s Troubles. The short series streams Saturdays at 8pm JST on the official TOHO animation YouTube channel and features a story by Kaiju No. 8: Relax creator Kizuku Watanabe.

Why you should care

This is a neat example of a mobile game using an anime side project as more than background promotion. The rewards give players a reason to return, while the short series adds a little more life to Narumi between larger franchise releases.

Our opinion

A six-day login campaign is hardly revolutionary, but pairing it with a fresh character and weapon gives the event a clear hook. If you are already playing Kaiju No. 8: THE GAME, there is little reason to leave these rewards sitting on the table.
