GTA VI DualSense controllers launch in November for £74.99

Sony is giving the DualSense a neon-soaked makeover for Grand Theft Auto VI, with two limited-edition controllers arriving for the game’s return to Vice City. The price is less criminal than some special editions, but the stock probably will not hang around.

PlayStation has announced black and white Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense wireless controllers, both inspired by Vice City. They launch from 19 November 2026, the same day Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to arrive on PS5.

What is actually going on

The designs share a shimmering, colour-shifting finish intended to evoke a Vice City sunset and neon-lit nightlife. Each has moulded palm-tree details and official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. The white model leans into bright beaches and pastel skies; the black version is styled around the city after dark.

The controllers cost US4.99, €84.99, £74.99 or ¥12,480 including tax. Pre-orders open on 10 September at 10 a.m. local time in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. US pre-orders begin at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET.

The white controller will be sold in limited quantities through direct.playstation.com and participating retailers globally. The black version is exclusive to direct.playstation.com where available, with select retailers carrying it in other regions. Portugal will use playstation.com/store/hardware for pre-orders.

PlayStation says the controllers’ haptic feedback and adaptive triggers will respond to the action in Grand Theft Auto VI, including the story of Jason and Lucia. Exact launch timing and stock can vary by country, so the local PlayStation store remains the final word.

Why you should care

Limited-edition controllers are usually less about transforming how a game feels and more about making the hardware part of the event. The standard DualSense already supports the PS5’s haptics and adaptive triggers; this version adds a louder bit of Vice City furniture for the coffee table.

At £74.99 in the UK, the pricing is in line with other premium DualSense releases rather than an outrageous collector surcharge. Limited quantities and a major GTA launch are a recipe for scalpers, so anyone who genuinely wants one should set an alarm for pre-orders.

Our opinion

The white model is the smarter design — it captures the sunny Vice City identity without looking like a controller has been dipped in a nightclub. Still, both are handsome, and £74.99 is far easier to swallow than the price of a deluxe game bundle.

Buy one if you actually like the design, not because a limited run has convinced you that a plastic pad is an investment opportunity. PlayStation has the right idea: make the controller feel special, keep the price below the truly silly tier and let the game do the heavy lifting.
