AYN Odin 3 Portal announced with flagship power promise
AYN has announced the Odin 3 Portal, but the new handheld’s specifications, price and release date remain under wraps.
AYN has announced the Odin 3 Portal, a new handheld gaming device that the company is teasing as a high-performance addition to its Odin line. The announcement appeared through AYN’s official Instagram account and Discord, but the company has not yet revealed the hardware specifications, price or release date.12
What AYN has shown
The announcement image presents a dark handheld with analogue sticks, a D-pad, face buttons and a wide central display. Its slogan reads “Flagship Power. Precision Control. Your World, Your Way”, offering a broad promise rather than concrete details about the device’s processor, screen or battery.12
That leaves the Odin 3 Portal’s position in AYN’s range unclear for now. The design shown in the announcement is close to the existing Odin 3 and Odin 2 Portal, so the eventual appeal will depend heavily on what AYN is putting under the hood. At this stage, the company has confirmed the product exists, but not what separates it from those earlier handhelds.1
What happens next
AYN has not published a full product page for the Odin 3 Portal yet, meaning there is no verified launch date, pricing information or store availability to report. We will need those details before judging whether this is a meaningful hardware upgrade or a refreshed design with a new name.
Our opinion
The announcement is deliberately light on information, but the timing makes the Odin 3 Portal worth watching. AYN has put a new handheld on the radar without making claims that can yet be tested. Until the company reveals the specifications and price, the sensible conclusion is simply that the Odin family is expanding — and the important news is still to come.12
