World of Warcraft: Forever launches on 4 November
Blizzard has confirmed a November 4, 2026 launch for World of Warcraft: Forever, a new adventure through an expanded version of Azeroth with the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle starting experience.

Blizzard says access is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time, although some new content depends on which edition a player buys.
The centrepiece is the Skyborne, a new race whose starting experience takes place on Zephras Isle. Blizzard describes the island as a once-secluded skybound home facing an existential threat, while the wider game promises an updated and expanded Azeroth filled with new stories, familiar vistas and new locations.
The official material also lists fresh class-and-race combinations, including the Forsaken Paladin and Dwarf Shaman. It presents the expansion as a chance to take unfamiliar paths through a version of Azeroth that deliberately leans into the world’s early, untamed feeling rather than simply asking players to repeat the same levelling tour forever.
Beta access runs from September 17 through October 21 Pacific time for qualifying purchases, while the launch window begins on November 4. Blizzard also says access to the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle starting experience requires the Skyborne Heroic Pack or a higher edition, so the subscription inclusion is not the same thing as every feature being immediately available.
Our opinion
The best part of Forever is the attempt to make old Azeroth feel like a place with roads still waiting to be taken, not a museum where every plaque has already been read. The edition ladder deserves scrutiny, but a genuinely new race, starting zone and class combinations give this more personality than another routine content treadmill.
