During the Nintendo Direct livestream on Wednesday, Shueisha Games and LASTWONDER announced Hoshin Engi Re:surrection , a roguelite game based on Ryū Fujisaki 's Hoshin Engi manga , for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam in 2027.

The game is set after the events of the manga and features Toshin and Chuechue, new characters drawn by Fujisaki.

Our opinion

This is a welcome update for fans, but the announcement still has to become a satisfying finished experience. The new detail makes it worth tracking; the stronger verdict belongs to the final release rather than the trailer.
