Pikmin 4 Game Gets Switch 2 Edition, Dandori Academy Mode

Nintendo announced during the Nintendo Direct livestream on Wednesday that Pikmin 4 , the first new main game in the Pikmin series in a decade, will get a Switch 2 edition on November 12. The new Dandori Academy mode will also launch on the same day.

The Dandori Academy mode adds challenges and puzzles at three difficulty levels available on the weekend. Players can rank themselves against others on a global leaderboard.

The Switch 2 edition will launch physically and digitally with an upgrade pack on the Nintendo Store and eShop. Pre-orders are available now.

Our opinion

This is a welcome update for fans, but the announcement still has to become a satisfying finished experience. The new detail makes it worth tracking; the stronger verdict belongs to the final release rather than the trailer.
