SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is marking its 1.5-year anniversary with a bundle of DMM GAMES promotions, including discount coupons, a points-sharing campaign and an X giveaway. DMM GAMES says the campaign begins on 16 October and runs through 6 November, with the exact closing time varying by promotion.1

What is included

The headline offer is a set of shopping coupons for the DMM GAMES version of the free-to-play strategy game. Players can claim a 50% discount coupon, a 30% discount coupon and a 10% coupon usable three times. The coupons are intended for purchases of the user's choice during the campaign period, rather than being tied to a particular unit, character or event banner.1

A separate mission lets eligible players share 1 million DMM Points. The official campaign details say players must enter through the special site and play the DMM GAMES version for at least 10 days. The campaign began at 10:30am on 16 October and closes at 11:59am on 6 November, according to the announcement carried by Famitsu.1

There is also a social-media promotion offering 500 DMM Points to 400 winners. To enter, players must follow the official DMM GAMES account and reply to or quote-repost the relevant post with an answer to its prompt. That promotion also closes at 11:59am on 6 November.1

The game behind the promotion

SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is a free-to-play Gundam simulation game for mobile devices and PC. Its central appeal is building a squad from units and characters drawn from across the franchise, then developing those units and replaying stories inspired by the different Gundam series.2

The official DMM version supports PC play through DMM GAMES, with account linking available for players who also use the mobile version. The campaign is therefore specifically useful to players who already have access to the PC edition, or who are prepared to start using it during the anniversary window. The DMM version is free to download, although it includes in-game purchases.2

Our opinion

This is a more practical anniversary promotion than a simple login bonus. The 1 million-point mission gives regular players a clear reason to return, while the coupons could be valuable for anyone who already planned to spend on the DMM version. The important caveat is that the offers are split across several conditions and closing times, so players should check the official campaign page before assuming that one entry covers everything. The promotion is worth a look, but only if you are comfortable with the game's free-to-play structure and the requirements attached to each reward.
