Resonance of Fate is getting a substantial PC upgrade with the Enhanced Remaster, according to the game's official Steam listing. The remaster is scheduled to launch on Oct. 29, 2026, and requires the existing Resonance of Fate/End of Eternity 4K/HD Edition on Steam.1

The headline additions are native 4K output, HDR support and a 120fps option. The listing also promises upscaled character and environment textures, which should give the industrial cities, machinery and character models a cleaner presentation on modern displays.1

What the remaster changes

The most unusual addition is a 2x Game Speed option. That is a meaningful quality-of-life feature for a role-playing game built around repeated battles and traversal, although the listing does not explain whether the setting affects every combat animation or only selected encounters.1

The announcement is otherwise fairly focused on presentation and convenience rather than new story content. The Steam page identifies tri-Ace as both developer and publisher, confirms PC as the platform, and lists English alongside eight additional languages. No price was exposed in the retrieved listing, so there is no reliable figure to report yet.1

Resonance of Fate originally stood out for its stylish three-person gunplay and its strange, layered industrial world. The Enhanced Remaster appears designed to make that distinctive experiment easier to revisit without changing its identity. Native 4K, HDR, higher frame rates and improved textures should help the presentation, while the speed option could make the long road between set-piece battles less demanding.

Our opinion

This looks like the sort of remaster that understands why people remember Resonance of Fate. It is not promising a rebuilt campaign or a new spin on the combat; instead, it is targeting the friction points that can make an older RPG awkward on current hardware. The 120fps support and HDR are welcome, but the 2x speed mode may be the feature that most improves the day-to-day experience. We will need more detail on its scope, pricing and performance before judging the upgrade fully, but the announced package is a sensible refresh for a singular game.

The Enhanced Remaster launches on Steam on Oct. 29, 2026. The official listing currently provides the clearest confirmation of its features and release date.1
