Resident Evil: Death Island manga reaches shops on 13 October
Titan Manga's adaptation of the 2023 CG film puts Leon, Chris, Jill, Claire and Rebecca back on Alcatraz, with Zino handling the art.

Resident Evil's biggest team-up is coming to the page. Titan Manga's adaptation of the CG film Resident Evil: Death Island goes on sale on 13 October, and it puts almost the entire surviving cast on Alcatraz at the same time.
Who is in it
The volume follows Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield and Rebecca Chambers as they confront a bioterror outbreak that turns the island prison into a battlefield. It adapts the 2023 animated film of the same name, which brought the franchise's leads together for a single night-time operation.
Who is making it
Zino writes and draws the adaptation, which Titan says was produced in collaboration with Capcom and the Death Island Film Partners. The volume runs 240 pages in softcover, carries a recommended age of 15 and above, and is filed under Titan's seinen and video-game genres.
What it costs
Titan lists the book at $12.99 in the United States, £9.99 in the United Kingdom and AU$29.75 in Australia, under ISBN 9781806182923. Penguin Random House also dates the volume to 13 October, and the cover carries the Capcom, Death Island Film Partners and Kadokawa copyright lines.
Our opinion
Death Island was the most comic-book-shaped thing Resident Evil has produced in years: one island, one squad, one long night of escalating monster set pieces. Handing that structure 240 pages gives it room the film never had, and Titan has made a habit of treating game licences as grown-up manga rather than merchandise. The real test is what Zino adds, because the appeal of a Resident Evil ensemble has always been the quiet stretches between fights as much as the fights themselves. A film that raced through both finally has somewhere to linger.
