Oblivion Remastered Switch 2 update fixes visual quality problems
A new Switch 2 update for Bethesda’s remaster targets the blur, ghosting and reduced image quality reported after version 1.10.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has received an update aimed at visual-quality problems introduced in version 1.10, including increased blur and ghosting.1
What the update changes
According to Final Weapon, Bethesda’s latest Switch 2 update addresses the global visual degradation reported after version 1.10, restoring image clarity and reducing the ghosting that affected the remaster’s presentation.1 The report does not list a separate patch number, so it is best treated as a quality fix rather than a new content drop.
Where to play *Oblivion Remastered*
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered modernises Bethesda’s 2006 RPG with updated visuals and refined gameplay across Cyrodiil. The package includes Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine and other downloadable content, according to the game’s official Steam listing.2
The remaster is available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Final Weapon reports that the physical and digital Deluxe Editions are priced at $59.99, while the Standard Edition is $49.99 on Switch 2.1
Our opinion
This is the sort of update Switch 2 owners should notice immediately: visual degradation undermines an open-world remaster far more than a minor menu bug. The important caveat is that the available report describes the fix broadly, rather than providing before-and-after testing or a full technical changelog. Players who noticed blur or ghosting after version 1.10 should still have a good reason to install it, but the real test will be whether the distant scenery and movement now hold together during normal play.
