Nova Era: Atom opens access to its spacefaring beta
The sci-fi MMORPG is inviting players to request access to its spacefaring extraction playtest through Steam.
Nova Era: Atom is inviting players to request access to its open beta through Steam. The spacefaring MMORPG combines third-person ship combat with extraction missions, giving players a dangerous reason to venture into its sci-fi setting and make it back alive. 1
What the beta offers
The current build centres on piloting a custom vessel through search, combat and extraction runs. Players can choose between three main professions and tune their ships with components, talents and chips. The Steam listing says weapon components carry their own skills, while the wider upgrade system is intended to let players shape a build around the way they want to fight and explore. 2
The game also includes Void Invasion, a PvPvE dungeon built around the extraction loop. Players are searching wreckage for valuable loot while dealing with non-player enemies and other pilots hunting the same resources. That means a successful run is about more than winning a fight: anything recovered has to be carried out safely before it can feed into the wider progression system.
Nova Era: Atom is being developed by Amazing Game and published by Hype Kid. Steam lists the game as coming soon, with the current playtest accessible through the Request Access option rather than a full release. The developers describe the project as an early, evolving version and are asking players to help shape its community and future direction. 2
How to request access
Players can visit the official Steam page, sign in and select Request Access. The listing also includes a Playtest PV and says the game is planned for Windows. There is no full launch date to report yet, so this is a beta-access story rather than a release announcement.
Our opinion
The useful detail here is the combination of a familiar MMORPG progression loop with the higher stakes of extraction play. Nova Era: Atom is still early, and a playtest cannot prove whether its professions, ship-building and PvPvE dungeon will hold together over time. It can, however, give interested players a direct way to try the core loop and provide feedback before the game moves towards launch.
