Nintendo announced during the Nintendo Direct livestream on Wednesday that Mega Man: Dual Override , a new game in its Mega Man series, will launch in spring 2027. The game will launch for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

The game previously introduced the new character Twinkle Girl as well as returning character Protoman.

Our opinion

The announcement gives this project a clear reason to stay on the radar, but trailers and release windows are only promises. The interesting part is now whether the finished game or anime turns its distinctive idea into something that holds up beyond the headline.
