The music of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is heading back to the stage. Warhorse Studios announced two live performances of the game's score in a Steam community update on 2 October, with Jan Valta's compositions played by orchestras and choirs rather than piped through a save-screen loop.

Nights in České Budějovice and Olomouc

The first concert is set for České Budějovice on 7 October, with two shows at 6pm and 8pm. All proceeds from that evening go to NEBYT NA TO SAMA SOUTH BOHEMIA, a Czech organisation that supports cancer patients.

The second night falls on 2 December in Olomouc, where the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc will perform the score in a symphonic arrangement conducted by Valta himself.

Warhorse describes Valta's work on the 2025 role-playing game as award-winning, and frames the concerts as a chance to hear the score's full orchestral and choral writing outside the game's mix. The announcement also points players towards a Collector's Edition vinyl of the soundtrack for anyone who would rather keep the music at home.

Our opinion

Game music concerts are now a dependable second life for scores that would otherwise live forever on a pause menu, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an unusually good fit. Valta wrote folk-inflected, brass-heavy music that always sat closer to a concert hall than to a combat loop, so an orchestra is not a gimmick here, it is the intended venue. The charity framing for the Bohemian night is a graceful touch. The real question is scale: Warhorse has a large audience well beyond Czechia, and a score this well liked deserves more than two evenings.
