ID@Xbox and IGN are bringing a new showcase to viewers on 20 October, with 18 games on the bill and a promise of new gameplay, exclusive reveals and “tons of world premieres”.

What we know

The ID@Xbox Showcase Presented by IGN will stream on Tuesday 20 October at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST. The programme will include trailers, gameplay and first looks from upcoming games, according to the co-presenting event announcement.1

The confirmed lineup currently includes The Wolf Among Us Remastered, alongside gameplay from Critical Reflex Games. IGN says the remaining titles and world premieres will be revealed during the presentation, so the 18-game total should not be mistaken for a complete public lineup.1

The showcase will be available through IGN.com, IGN’s YouTube channel, Facebook, X, Twitch, Eurogamer and VG247, among the listed platforms. GameRant also reports that Microsoft’s event is scheduled for 20 October and will focus on upcoming games, with much of the lineup still under wraps.2

Why it matters

The useful detail here is the unusually large confirmed count rather than a single headline reveal. Eighteen games gives the event room to introduce smaller projects alongside better-known titles, while The Wolf Among Us Remastered provides at least one recognisable anchor before the broadcast.

Our opinion

This is a worthwhile date for Xbox and PC players to mark, but the “world premieres” promise is still a promise until the stream airs. The smart expectation is a discovery-focused showcase, not a guaranteed parade of major first-party announcements: the event’s strongest selling point is that most of its 18-game programme remains unknown.
