Hades concert film Ballads of the Underworld is now streaming
The official 4K Ballads of the Underworld concert film brings Hades and Hades II’s music from London’s Royal Festival Hall to YouTube.
The full Ballads of the Underworld concert film featuring music from Hades and Hades II is now available to watch on YouTube. The recording captures Game Music Festival’s one-night performance at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 27 June 2026.12
The concert brings together composer and audio director Darren Korb, vocalist Ashley Barrett and guest performers Judy Alice Lee, Erin Yvette and Colin Ryan. They perform with the London Mozart Players under conductor Austin Wintory, whose credits include Grammy- and BAFTA-recognised work.12
Game Music Festival describes the release as an official collaboration with Supergiant Games, giving the music a filmed life beyond the concert hall. The programme focuses on the vocal songs that accompany Zagreus and Melinoë through the two games, with new arrangements created specifically for the live performance.1
The video is presented as a 4K recording and is free to watch. The related album has also been released on Spotify and Apple Music, giving listeners an audio-only route to the performance.234
The release arrives as Hades reaches its sixth anniversary, turning what was originally a one-night London event into a permanent record for fans who could not attend in person.12
Our opinion
This is a particularly good fit for Hades because the games’ music is not background wallpaper. Korb’s songs carry character, place and mood, so a full concert recording lets the vocal performances take centre stage rather than reducing them to a playlist link.
The YouTube release is also the more complete option. Streaming services are useful for repeat listening, but the concert film preserves the scale of the Royal Festival Hall performance and the interplay between the singers, orchestra and game-inspired visuals. It is a meaningful bonus for existing fans rather than a disposable promotional clip.
