Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO reveals teaser and February 2027 release

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO is heading to North American cinemas in February 2027, with a new teaser confirming the film's place between Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM. 12
A new chapter in the Cosmic Era
Bandai Namco Filmworks presented the film at New York Comic Con 2026, where Planning Producer Kaori Shida confirmed that the story takes place between the two earlier series entries. The production team also revealed that the story was developed from a script by the late Chiaki Morosawa, originally written during production of SEED FREEDOM. 1
The panel also confirmed that Matt Hill, Sam Vincent and Matthew Erickson will reprise their English-dub roles as Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala and Shinn Asuka. Final Weapon reports that the event included a new teaser visual and merchandise announcements for several Gunpla kits and figures. 2
