Trevor actor Steven Ogg is open to streaming GTA 6

Steven Ogg says he could stream Grand Theft Auto VI with Ned Luke, but neither actor has confirmed a role or official collaboration.

Steven Ogg, the actor who played Trevor Philips in Grand Theft Auto V, says he is open to streaming Grand Theft Auto VI with co-star Ned Luke when Rockstar’s next game arrives. The comments came during one of Luke’s livestreams, but Ogg’s tone was playful and he did not claim to have inside information about the game or its cast.1

Ogg has spent years keeping his distance from Grand Theft Auto V. GamesRadar reports that he recently joined Luke for a series of streams revisiting the 2013 game, despite having previously acted as though the title barely existed. During the latest conversation, Ogg suggested that the pair could do something similar with the sequel: “We should also do this with the new one, when the GTA 6 comes out.”1

What Ogg actually said

The exchange is more interesting as a glimpse at the actors’ relationship with the series than as a firm GTA VI announcement. Ogg said the new game would be “so fucking different” and that it could be fun to stream, while Luke said he wanted to finish his GTA V playthrough before the sequel arrives. Ogg also asked whether Luke was in contact with Rockstar, prompting a joking, evasive exchange rather than a confirmation of any official involvement.1

Ogg later said he was curious about the sequel’s actors, characters and game itself. That is a natural question from someone whose performance helped make Trevor one of GTA V’s most recognisable figures, but it is still only speculation from an actor chatting with a former co-star. Rockstar has not announced that either actor will appear in GTA VI, nor has it confirmed a celebrity livestream plan involving them.2

Rockstar’s official Grand Theft Auto VI material places the sequel in Leonida, the fictional state that includes Vice City, and centres on Jason and Lucia. The official artwork used here depicts those characters and the wider setting, not Trevor or Ogg, so it should not be read as evidence that the older character is returning.2

Why it matters

The comments are worth covering because they show how strongly GTA V’s cast remains tied to public interest in the sequel. Luke’s streams have turned an old game and its performers into a small piece of pre-launch conversation, while Ogg’s remarks give fans something to speculate about without changing what Rockstar has formally announced. The useful takeaway is modest: Ogg sounds interested in playing and streaming GTA VI, but there is no confirmed role or collaboration behind the comments yet.

Our opinion

This is a fun bit of actor banter, not a major GTA VI reveal. The story works when the distinction stays clear: Ogg has expressed interest, Rockstar has shown off Jason and Lucia, and the rest remains firmly in the realm of “maybe”.
