Fangtopia brings cosy monster tile-building to PS5 this Halloween
Fangtopia brings a friendly monster kingdom, hex-grid building and a tougher Ghoulish mode to PlayStation 5 on 26 October.

A cosy monster kingdom is coming to PlayStation 5 this Halloween, as Fangtopia launches on 26 October 2026.
Absolutely Games says players build a monster-themed kingdom around a castle using a hexagonal tile grid. The core appeal is part puzzle game, part world-building toy, with every placement shaping the kingdom around the player.
Cute until the grid fights back
The standard Fangtopia mode is joined by Ghoulish mode, which adds rivers, tile swapping and larger tile groups for players who want a more demanding challenge.
The announcement also mentions PlayStation Portal play, but it does not state a price or confirm a wider platform list. Regional store availability should be checked closer to launch.
There is no need to mistake the colourful presentation for a total pushover. Tile-placement games can become surprisingly ruthless once the board starts refusing the shape you desperately need.
Our opinion
Fangtopia looks like a charming option for players who want their puzzle games with a bit of monster personality. The lack of pricing is the only obvious missing piece, but the standard and Ghoulish modes suggest there could be something here for both relaxed builders and people who enjoy being spooked by a hexagon.
