EA Sports FC 27’s Title Update 1.1.0 is rolling out with a broad set of fixes across Ultimate Team, Career Mode and The Grounds. The update is primarily about cleaning up bugs, improving menus and making several systems less frustrating, rather than changing how matches play. EA’s official Pitch Notes say there are no gameplay balance or tuning changes in this update. 1

What the update changes

Career Mode gets one of the more useful groups of changes. EA has overhauled the Team Management layout to make navigation and readability better, while new settings let managers control whether Press Conferences and Unexpected Events appear in a save. Those settings can also be adjusted during an existing career rather than being locked to the initial setup.

Player Career adds two Rivalry objective types: Consistency Rivalries, where players must avoid being the first to fail an objective, and Match Limit Rivalries, which require objectives to be completed within a set time. EA has also corrected several scouting and squad-management problems, including Scout capacity calculations, Youth Academy PlayStyles and the position retained after promoting a prospect.

Ultimate Team receives shorter pack-opening animations for most higher-rated items, along with filters that remain applied while completing multiple Streamlined SBCs in the same session. The patch also fixes a long list of visual and interface problems, including incorrect opponent cosmetics, missing goal-net previews, broken menu navigation and issues with objectives, Gallery rewards and Transfer Market searches. 1

The Grounds, Clubs and other online modes receive another substantial batch of fixes. EA lists problems involving matchmaking, party states, loading screens, missing notifications, stuck players and incorrect post-match ratings. The update also addresses stability issues and a range of presentation bugs involving audio, lighting, kits, overlays, stadium elements and player customisation.

Operation Sports reports that the full update also includes fixes for situations where players could become stuck during the opening tutorial, lose mouse input as a goalkeeper on PC or find themselves trapped in parts of The Grounds. 2 The complete list is extensive, but the pattern is clear: this is a maintenance-heavy update aimed at making the first month of EA Sports FC 27 less brittle across its many modes.

Why there are no gameplay changes

EA says Title Update 1.1.0 contains no gameplay balance or tuning changes. That matters because the update is not intended to reshape the on-pitch meta or alter the feel of matches. Instead, the developer is using this release to address bugs and interface friction while it continues reviewing feedback from players across its forums, Discord, Feedback Portal and social channels. 1

EA also says it is testing a possible fix for cases where players request transfers despite meeting their playing-time expectations. That issue is being held for a future update rather than included in this one.

Our opinion

A maintenance-focused patch is the sensible choice for EA Sports FC 27 at this stage. The game’s many modes create plenty of opportunities for small interface and state bugs to stack up, so fixes to Career settings, SBC filters, matchmaking and The Grounds should have a more noticeable day-to-day effect than another early balance pass. The important caveat is that anyone expecting a change to the way football plays will not find it here: Title Update 1.1.0 is about reliability and usability, not a new on-pitch direction.
