Duelist: Idle Expedition launches on Steam Oct. 8
One Interactive Studio’s taskbar auto-battler launches with 91 roles, more than 200 equipment pieces and a travelling camp to manage.
Duelist: Idle Expedition is heading to Steam on Oct. 8, 2026, giving busy players an idle auto-battler designed to live on the taskbar rather than demand the whole screen. One Interactive Studio and publisher Infini Fun announced the launch date in a press release.
The game lets players build a travelling Guild of hand-drawn Duelists while battles continue in the background. The announcement promises 91 roles across seven main classes, more than 200 equipment pieces and a camp-management layer built around a Tavern, Blacksmith and Shopkeeper.
That combination is aimed squarely at the secondary-screen crowd: people who want a game ticking over while they work, without reducing every strategic decision to a single “collect reward” button. The release also lists Followers, Combat Styles and 31 supported languages, including English, French, German, Japanese and Korean.
The Steam launch is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. GMT-7. A demo is already available, while the full game’s launch price was not stated in the supplied announcement.
Our opinion
The taskbar is a surprisingly good home for an idle RPG, provided the numbers mean more than an excuse to watch bars fill. Duelist: Idle Expedition has enough systems to make the pitch interesting; the Oct. 8 launch will show whether its 91 roles create real choices or merely 91 flavours of waiting.
