Dragon Quest Monsters 4 joins NOPE drink collaboration in November

Suntory’s Guilty Tansan NOPE will get four limited Dragon Quest Monsters 4 labels across bottles and cans in Japan from late November.

Dragon Quest Monsters 4 NOPE collaboration drink labels featuring monster designs

Suntory Beverage & Food is bringing a Dragon Quest Monsters 4 (ドラゴンクエストモンスターズ4) collaboration to its Guilty Tansan NOPE soft drink in Japan from late November 2026. The limited campaign will use four label designs featuring monsters from Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Karekino Kuni no Bianca Flora, with the drinks distributed nationwide while supplies last and launch timing subject to shipping conditions.

The promotion covers two bottle designs and two can designs. The 600ml bottles feature Gigantes and Dracky relaxing under the campaign’s “lazy guilty” concept, alongside Ghost and Mimic in a more mischievous design. The 340ml cans instead show Metal Slime and Metal Hunter breaking through the packaging as though they are bursting out of the can.

What the collaboration includes

The product is called Guilty Tansan NOPE Dragon Quest Monsters 4 Design Labels. The listed recommended prices are ¥220 before tax for a 600ml bottle and ¥160 before tax for a 340ml can sold through vending machines, with packs containing 24 drinks. The campaign is a label collaboration rather than a new game announcement, and the drinks are scheduled to appear for a limited period in shops across Japan.

The press material describes Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Karekino Kuni no Bianca Flora as the latest entry in the Dragon Quest Monsters series. Players take the role of monster masters, building a party by recruiting and raising creatures before setting out through a strange world alongside Bianca and Flora. The campaign artwork focuses on the monsters’ everyday, playful and deliberately “guilty” poses rather than showing a new gameplay feature.

Suntory says this is the first part of a wider collaboration. It has teased additional campaign activity and other partnership initiatives, but has not yet provided the full details. The official Dragon Quest Monsters 4 link included with the announcement currently points to a maintenance page, so the drink-label launch and the four confirmed designs are the details that can be stated now.

Our opinion

This is a small but well-targeted piece of character merchandising: the bottles and cans make the monster artwork the product rather than adding a tiny logo to an otherwise ordinary drink. The strongest designs are likely to be the Metal Slime and Metal Hunter cans, whose broken-open presentation gives the collaboration an immediately recognisable hook. Whether collectors can find all four labels will depend on the eventual retail rollout, but the late-November window and nationwide plan make this more accessible than a shop-exclusive tie-in.

The important distinction is that this is a promotional campaign, not a reason to treat the drinks as part of the game itself. The confirmed story is four limited labels, a Japanese release window and more collaboration news to come.
