The Division 2: Survivors opens test registration

The test programme is open

Ubisoft has opened registration for upcoming tests of The Division 2: Survivors. The PC test is intended for players who are comfortable trying a work-in-progress build, communicating in English and sharing feedback that can help shape the experience.

You do not need to own The Division 2 to sign up. Registration offers a chance to be considered, but it does not guarantee selection. Ubisoft says selected players will receive the information they need by email. Anyone not invited in this round remains in the registration pool for possible future tests.

A winter survival spin on Washington

Ubisoft describes Survivors as a winter survival experience set in a transformed Washington, D.C. Runs can vary through changes to weather, time of day, loot, routes and extraction points. Players can also choose whether to enable PvP or concentrate on PvE.

The concept takes inspiration from the original Survival mode in The Division, while Ubisoft says this is being developed as its own experience. The team also wants more players to try the unfinished build and report back on how it feels.

Our opinion

The registration details make the pitch refreshingly clear: this is an invitation to help test a flexible survival framework, not a promise of immediate access. The changing routes and extraction points sound like the right ingredients for replayable runs, while the PvP-or-PvE choice could make the format easier to approach. The important question is whether the snowy setting and variable systems can give each run a distinct rhythm rather than simply repackaging The Division’s familiar loop.
