Cospa’s NieR: Automata range opens for pre-order

Cospa’s YoRHa-inspired shirts and M-51 jacket go on advance sale at Tokyo Game Show, with pre-orders closing on 12 October.

Cospa is releasing a clothing range built around the YoRHa androids of NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, with advance sales planned for Tokyo Game Show 2026.

What's actually going on

The line-up covers four items, with prices confirmed in yen. The 2B full graphic T-shirt is 6,930 yen, a cleaner cloth in either 2B or 9S variants is 660 yen, a heavyweight T-shirt is 3,520 yen, and the M-51 jacket is 16,500 yen. Those translate to roughly $45, $4, $23 and $107 at current rates.

Advance sales are reserved for visitors to Cospa’s booth at Tokyo Game Show, which runs from 17 to 21 September 2026 at Makuhari Messe. Anyone who cannot attend can still order through Cospa’s pre-order page, which closes on 12 October 2026. Items ship in mid-December 2026.

The collection is based on the anime adaptation rather than the 2017 game directly, which means the designs follow the YoRHa android look established by NieR: Automata Ver1.1a. Cospa has not confirmed whether the range will reach international storefronts. The company’s merchandise does turn up abroad through third-party sellers from time to time, but that is not the same as a global release.

Why you should care

NieR: Automata is one of the more durable properties to come out of the last decade, largely because its designs are unusually clean: black, white, a blindfold and a lot of careful tailoring. That makes it a natural fit for clothing in a way that most game merchandise is not, which is why Cospa keeps returning to it.

The practical problem is availability. Japanese merchandise ranges like this often sell out during the show, and the pre-order window doubles as the overseas buyer’s only reliable route. If a specific size or variant matters to you, ordering now is safer than waiting for a reseller markup in December.

Worth noting too: pre-orders close a month before the items ship, so there is no rush, but there is a hard deadline.

Our opinion

The M-51 jacket is the pick of the set. At 16,500 yen it is not cheap, but it is a proper piece of clothing rather than a graphic tee with a logo slapped on it, and the YoRHa styling suits the jacket far better than it suits a heavyweight cotton shirt. The 660-yen cleaner cloth is a neat small add-on for anyone who wants the theme without the price. Cospa has not said whether this crosses into Western stores, so if you want it, treat the pre-order page as the plan rather than a fallback.
