Cleaning Simulator turns household chores into an adventure

Cleaning Simulator is out now on Xbox, offering a low-stakes way to mop, scrub, vacuum and organise messy rooms.

Cleaning Simulator gameplay showing a cluttered room being cleaned

Cleaning Simulator is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One for £6.69, giving players a deliberately low-stakes alternative to the usual parade of explosions and boss fights. 1

A cleaner kind of simulation

Developed by Damaged Games and published by RockGame, Cleaning Simulator turns messy student flats, warehouses and kitchens into a checklist of jobs. Players can mop spills, scrub surfaces, load a dishwasher, collect rubbish, organise scattered objects, vacuum carpets and attack stubborn grime with a pressure washer. 2

The game also includes flies to spray, plus HDR and ray tracing support according to RockGame. Its campaign is designed to be played at the player’s own pace, with the longer-term goal of earning the Cleaning Master title. 2

Platforms and price

The Xbox listing confirms the game is available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One for £6.69. 1 RockGame also lists a PC version on Steam, but the current Corpus lead concerns the Xbox release. 2

Our opinion

There is something appealing about a game that understands the pleasure of making visible progress. Cleaning Simulator is not pretending that washing a virtual kitchen is a grand adventure; it is selling the small satisfaction of turning chaos into order. That makes it a neat fit for players who want a calmer session, even if the flies and grimier jobs add a little comic friction.
