Angelian Trigger lands on Steam on 10 December
PiXEL has dated Angelian Trigger for Steam on 10 December 2026, with a PlayStation 5 release promised for 2027 and a new ending theme from Miho Morikawa.

PiXEL has put a date on the PC version of Angelian Trigger: the pseudo-3D shoot-'em-up arrives on Steam on 10 December 2026. A PlayStation 5 version is planned for 2027.
The studio announced both windows alongside a new ending theme. 'Believe' is written by Junko Sato and composed and arranged by Scat Goto with Mitsuo Kono, and sung by Miho Morikawa. It follows 'HERE WITH ME', the ending theme for the Nintendo Switch release. PiXEL posted a video for the song to its YouTube channel on 6 October.
A detective agency, a green planet and a very large gun
The game is a 3D shooter built on the pseudo-3D style of older shoot-'em-ups. You play two detectives, Mia and Sheryl, who fly to the green planet Sarius after an anonymous client asks the Eames detective agency to investigate it. Mia double-jumps and fires two pistols; Sheryl carries a heavy cannon and can hover, so the two handle differently. Story and arcade modes run to 24 stages between them, and the arcade route has bosses of its own.
The Steam page currently lists Windows as the only platform and is open for wishlists. Angelian Trigger first launched in Japan on Nintendo Switch in December 2024.
Our opinion
PiXEL is selling this one on a staggered rollout and a familiar voice. Steam first, PlayStation 5 a year later, and an ending theme from a veteran vocalist — a pitch aimed at players who grew up with arcade shooters rather than at the genre's newest audience. It is a nostalgic bet in a market that has spent a decade telling small studios that a shoot-'em-up needs a gimmick to be noticed at all. The more interesting hook is the arcade mode's separate bosses: if PiXEL has built patterns that make the split between Mia's pistols and Sheryl's cannon matter, that is a reason to keep playing past the story, and it is precisely the part a store page cannot show.
