Nintendo's latest overview trailer reveals a new Hall of Fallen Foes and more changes coming to the Switch 2 remake on 5 November.
Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is getting another look before its 5 November launch on Nintendo Switch 2. The latest overview trailer reveals a new Hall of Fallen Foes, where players can inspect defeated enemies and rematch bosses. 124
A new hall for defeated foes
The Hall of Fallen Foes gives the remake a dedicated space for players to view statues of enemies they have defeated. The trailer also shows that bosses can be challenged again through those statues, turning the feature into more than a simple gallery. 14
What else is changing
The Switch 2 remake adds traditional camera controls, new motion controls, a jump button, a roll dash and quick item assignment to ZR. It also introduces the Threads of Time menu, which helps players recap the story and identify their next objective. 14
The game also connects to the Zelda Notes function in the Nintendo Switch App. Today's Record tracks progress, while Gossip Quests and an Ocarina of Time Quiz provide extra activities and rewards that can feed back into the game. 12
Release date and official video
The remake launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 November. New Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo are planned for 2027, while a Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2 console, Pro Controller and carrying case arrive on 29 October. 14
Our opinion
The Hall of Fallen Foes is a smart addition because it gives the remake a clear reason to preserve the adventure's battles beyond the first playthrough. The bigger question is whether the extra systems make this feel like a meaningful reworking of Ocarina of Time rather than a visual refresh; the Switch 2 launch should provide the answer. 124
