Wizardry Variants Daphne is marking its second anniversary with a campaign that turns parts of Tokyo and Osaka into an extension of its dungeon-world fiction. The #奈落侵食中 promotion runs from 19 October to 1 November, according to the campaign report. 1

The campaign’s advertising installation at Shinjuku Station’s Metro Promenade is designed to let visitors experience the game’s Abyss through sight and sound. That part of the promotion runs from 19 to 25 October. Separate installations in Shibuya and Umeda will place strange entities around the two areas, with a public map helping participants find them and submit sightings through QR codes. 1

The prize campaign

The advertising is tied to a prize draw. Participants must follow the game’s official X account and share through an advertising QR code, or post a photograph or video of an installation with the specified hashtag. Prizes include a 24-karat gold identification tag weighing about 15g and Amazon gift cards worth ¥20,000, with winners selected by lottery. 1

The promotion also links social activity and QR or NFC scans on the second-anniversary campaign page to in-game item rewards. The wider activity closes at 11:59 p.m. on 1 November, while the Shinjuku installation ends earlier on 25 October. 1

Wizardry Variants Daphne is a free-to-play 3D dungeon RPG from Drecom, available on iOS, Android and PC. The official website describes it as a game built around exploring a dangerous dungeon, making the physical campaign a neatly literal extension of that premise. 2

Our opinion

This is a more inventive anniversary activation than a routine login bonus because it gives the game’s central idea a physical footprint. The useful detail for fans is the split schedule: Shinjuku ends on 25 October, while the Shibuya and Umeda elements continue until 1 November. Anyone planning to visit will need to check the locations and dates rather than treating the campaign as one single event.
