Supermarket Simulator launches on PS5 in November

Supermarket Simulator reaches PS5 on 12 November, with a physical Fully Stocked Edition containing the game and DLC due in December.

Supermarket Simulator will open its doors on PlayStation 5 on 12 November 2026, according to a new trailer reported by Push Square. A physical Fully Stocked Edition will follow on 4 December, bundling the base game with its downloadable content. 1

The PS5 release brings the popular first-person management simulation to Sony's console after its early-access launch on PC and full release in June 2025. The central job remains the same: buy stock, arrange shelves, set prices, serve shoppers and gradually turn a small shop into a larger supermarket. 12

What is included

The digital PS5 version launches first on 12 November. The physical Fully Stocked Edition is scheduled for 4 December and includes the base game alongside the DLC packs that add more products and departments. Push Square reports that the physical release will be available on disc rather than as a download code. 1

The official Steam page describes a simulator built around constant small decisions. Players order goods through an in-game computer, unpack deliveries, manage storage and balance prices against customer demand. The game also adds online orders, local-market shopping, cleaning jobs and security measures for dealing with shoplifters. 2

The shop can expand as profits arrive, with new floor space, staff, fixtures and customisation options opening up over time. The appeal is less about a single dramatic objective than the rhythm of keeping shelves stocked while trying to make each trading day more efficient.

A supermarket with plenty to manage

The Steam version also supports co-operative play for up to four people. Players can divide the work between stocking, serving customers, handling deliveries and expanding the business, although the PS5 release details reported so far do not spell out whether every feature will arrive unchanged at launch. 2

The game has already built a sizeable audience on PC, where its deliberately ordinary premise became part of the joke. Running a shop sounds mundane until a delivery arrives late, shelves empty during a rush and every pricing decision starts eating into the next expansion. That hands-on routine is the reason the simulator has proved more durable than its premise suggests.

Release dates

Supermarket Simulator launches digitally on PS5 on 12 November 2026. The physical Fully Stocked Edition follows on 4 December with the base game and DLC included. The source report does not list a PS5 price, so there is no confirmed UK cost to report yet. 1

Our opinion

A PS5 launch makes sense for a game that thrives on short, repeatable sessions. The physical edition is the more interesting announcement because including the DLC gives new players a clearer starting point than buying the base game and add-ons separately. The important question is how well the deliberately fiddly shop-management loop translates to a controller, but the console release at least gives the supermarket a fresh queue of customers.
