Star Wars Zero Company patch 1.1 fixes the “100% chance to miss” problem
EA’s first major patch addresses crashes, save corruption, missing edition content and a bug that made guaranteed hits miss.

Electronic Arts has released patch 1.1 for Star Wars Zero Company, tackling a collection of technical and tactical problems in the turn-based strategy game. The most entertainingly broken issue was also the clearest: attacks could miss even when the interface displayed a 100% chance to hit.
EA’s official notes list fixes for crashes, visual stutters, save corruption and missing pre-order or Deluxe Edition items. The patch also includes tactical, cinematic, performance and PC-driver changes.
The update applies to the game’s listed PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions. EA’s notes do not announce a price change or a new regional release arrangement.
The patch is maintenance rather than new campaign content, so it is about making the existing tactical systems behave as advertised. That distinction matters when a strategy game’s central promise is that careful planning should produce predictable results.
Why you should care
A displayed hit chance is a contract between a strategy game and the player. Break it and every firefight starts to feel like the game is rolling dice behind the sofa. Fixing that bug will not solve every complaint, but it restores trust in the information players use to make decisions.
Our opinion
A patch that fixes “100% chance to miss” is not glamorous, but it is exactly the sort of boring engineering work a tactics game needs. Zero Company still has to prove the broader campaign is worth the investment, but at least its percentages are now behaving less like Imperial propaganda.
