SCP: Project Pneuma trailer previews October Early Access

SCP: Project Pneuma's new trailer previews a stealth-focused horror game before its October 25 Steam Early Access launch.

The official launch trailer for SCP: Project Pneuma sets the tone for Zatun's first-person psychological horror game ahead of its Steam Early Access debut on October 25. The trailer returns players to Site-19, a ruined SCP Foundation facility where a containment breach has left dangerous anomalies roaming through collapsed corridors and failed security systems.1

Players take the role of Dr. Alexander “Alexie” Kolchak, a Foundation researcher trying to understand what happened. The game is built around stealth, investigation and environmental puzzles rather than straightforward combat. Hallucinations also distort Alexie's perception, making it harder to separate a genuine threat from the horrors created by his own mind.1

The Early Access launch is set to include the complete Chapter I campaign, several explorable environments, investigation mechanics, environmental puzzles and encounters with SCP-173Z, SCP-096Z, SCP-939Z and SCP-239Z. The trailer's emphasis on dark rooms, scattered evidence and unpredictable anomalies suggests a deliberate slow-burn approach: players are expected to learn how each threat behaves before deciding whether to move, hide or run.1

A free demo is already available, giving horror fans a chance to sample Site-19 before the full Early Access release. The Steam listing describes the game as a psychological horror experience about sneaking past anomalies that cannot simply be fought, scavenging limited supplies and piecing together what Project Echelon unleashed.2

Our opinion

SCP: Project Pneuma has a more promising hook than a generic facility horror game because its threats are presented as problems to investigate, not just targets to defeat. The October 25 launch will show whether that idea produces meaningful tension across a full chapter, but the combination of stealth, environmental clues and unreliable perception gives the demo and Early Access release a clear identity.12
