Palia patch 0.207 brings Spiritfest and a Spooky Moon Store
Palia's 0.207 update has reopened Spiritfest with the Spooky Moon Store, a new Lunar Path and the Palcat as a ranch animal, running through the end of October.

Palia's 0.207 patch is live and has reopened Spiritfest for the season. The update, dated 29 September on the game's official news page, brings back the Spooky Moon Store, adds a new Bulletin Board quest, opens the game's next Lunar Path and introduces a brand new ranch animal. Spiritfest itself runs through the end of October, independently of the patch cycle.
What Spiritfest adds this year
The Spooky Moon Store is the event's shopfront, stocked with coffin beds, gargoyles, bottled poison and a bat roost that sends its residents fluttering whenever you wander past a Home Plot. Two new materials turn up around Kilima during the festival: Ectoplasm, a rare bonus drop from gathering any forageable, and Tattered Cloth, collected from Ghastly Jaakcats, a spectral breed of Jaakcat with little interest in making friends. Both are handed in at the Bulletin Board.
Four titles, one token
The Bulletin Board quest hands Elouisa the job of tracking down the spectral scoundrel terrorising Kilima, and finishing it earns L'il Ghosties, a cluster of tiny spectres that also go on sale in the Spooky Moon Store. Completing the outro quest awards a Spooky Moon Token, the event's rarest currency.
That token matters because Spiritfest has four new player titles and the store sells three of them. The Vampire, The Werewolf and The Witch each cost one Spooky Moon Token, and only one Token can be earned per Spiritfest — so claiming one creature locks the other two away until next year. The fourth title, The Undead, is earned through the new Lunar Path instead and costs nothing.
The Path of the Ghastly and the Palcat
Path of the Ghastly is the newest Lunar Path, with 21 levels of free and premium rewards covering night-creature costumes, decor built for haunting a Home Plot and an eerie fishing bobber. The premium upgrade costs 1,275 Palia Coins, and the free track is available to every player who activates it on login.
Palcats are the new ranch animal: six coat colours named Clove, Pepper, Wisp, Belladonna, Crystal and Turmeric, with the Socks or Wild Stripes patterns inheritable across breeding. Their Herb Hunter trait makes them good at sniffing out and digging up herbs, which puts them closer to the game's gathering loop than most event additions. Palcat Vouchers are bought from the Spooky Moon Store.
Elsewhere, Friendship Level 5 quests have arrived for Sifuu, Hassian, Taylin and Ulfe for anyone who has finished their Level 4 stories, alongside new Spiritfest decor and tints, plushes, nameplates, profile icons and profile art. The Premium Store adds the Devilish Imp, Casual Cutie, Fungi Forager and Palcat Rogue outfits and the Haunted Hollow Landscape. The patch notes also carry a long list of fixes, including quest marker and item-flow corrections, an Amber request quantity that had been stuck at 20, controller navigation in the Animal Roster menu and a horizon blend issue over the water in Bahari Bay.
Our opinion
The one-token, three-titles trick is the sharpest piece of design in this patch. Palia has no combat and almost no way to fail, so its seasonal events usually resolve into a checklist you either finish or do not; making players permanently close off two of three cosmetic titles introduces the first genuine either/or decision Spiritfest has asked of them. It is also a quiet test of how much friction a cosy audience will tolerate when the reward is a label rather than a pet.
The Palcat is the addition with real staying power. A ranch animal whose trait feeds herbs into the gathering loop changes routine play, which is more than can be said for another batch of Halloween decor, however good the coffin beds look. Running the event past the end of the patch cycle and into the end of October is the other sensible call here, because it fixes the long-standing complaint that seasonal windows in this game close with the build rather than with the season.
